Great Egg Race 2005

One of the annual events used to be a "Great Egg Race" challenge, set by G0UKB and M0ACL. An assortment of scrap materials had to be ingeniously combined  to solve a challenge - in this case to measure 10 secs as accurately as possible. The somewhat poor photographs demonstrate how much digital cameras have improved.

Let's Go Try a Kite

In June 2009 G4ROJ came down to the club and gave a very interesting and inspiring talk on using kite antennas. We were lucky enough to have him stop overnight and next day we wandered up to Hursley Park where we tried balloon kites as skyhooks.
