Getting access to maintain the site
This site is designed for IVARC club members to interact with it. Not only are members encouraged to take part in discussions on the Forum page but they are also encouraged to add new News, Articles or Photographs to help keep the website vital and up-to-date.
Here are what you need to do to gain access to the various parts of the sites:
Posting to the Forum:
To browse the forum you need no access, to be able to post you need to be a member of the IVARC Members group, follow these instructions:

To be able to post new material to the site you need to have Weebly access along with Editor permission for the site:
Cross-Posting News items to IVARC's Facebook and Twitter Account:
Adding events to the Calendar:
These instructions are a little hazy in step 2. This is very simple if you already have a Google account but I am currently uncertain of the exact process if you don't have an existing Google account.

This list will grow;, as more users start maintaining the site Administrator access will be granted to a few key users.
Here are what you need to do to gain access to the various parts of the sites:
Posting to the Forum:
To browse the forum you need no access, to be able to post you need to be a member of the IVARC Members group, follow these instructions:
- Go to the forum page and register by selecting Register from the top right-hand corner of the white Forum section. Please use both your Name and your Callsign as your registration entry
- Await an email from one of the administrators telling you that you have been moved into the Members group
- Try posting from the website!
- If you wish to receive email notifications of posts, select the Options link, just above the Topic list and then select the Subscribe link and choose options as preferred
- If you have subscribed but are not receiving email notifications - i.e. you can see new posts on the website Forumm but they are not shown in your email inbox the most likely problem is that thjey are being flagged as Spam by your mail provider. Check your Spam box and follow your mail provider's process to mark them as not-spam.
- If you do have a Forum message in your email inbox and wish to reply to it via email then just Reply to it, as per any other email, your reply will go to all subscribers and appear on the website.
- If you wish to start a new topic from your email account then find any email that has originated from the forum, at the bottom it provides an email address for new topics. Email this address, the title of the email will be the topic title. The email address to start a new topic is both hard to remember and unique to you - you may wish to add an entry in your Contact List/Address Book to give the email address a sensible name (such as IVARC Forum).
Posting to the News section or adding Photographs or Articles:
To be able to post new material to the site you need to have Weebly access along with Editor permission for the site:
- Go to www.weebly.com and register an account
- Email one of the administrators and ask to be granted Edit permission. If you only wish to add something to a specific part of the site (Photographs, say) you can state this and you will be given permission to edit just that section

Cross-Posting News items to IVARC's Facebook and Twitter Account:
- Register an account with Facebook or Twitter
- Email one of the administrators to be granted access to the IVARC accounts
- After posting a News item select the 'Post to Facebook or Twitter" option that Weebly presents and select the IVARC account rather than your personal one.
Adding events to the Calendar:

- Email one of the administrators to be granted editor access to the Google Calendar
- Follow the instructions in the resulting email which will be generated by Google
- Post an event to the Calendar

HowTo Videos
This section has some video clips showing how to add or edit content on the site. It is aimed at helping people be able to contribute to the site. Before you can contribute you will need to register on the Weebly site and also request Editor permission from the site administrators.
It is probably best to watch the videos in full-screen to be able to see what is being clicked or typed. Hover over the video and look for the double diagonal arrow icon in the lower right corner. If you are new to Weebly then the fist two videos will give you an overview of Weebly and its facilities, the remaining videos should help with any specific tasks you are trying to do.
